About Melissa

Hello! I am a mom, former Montessori teacher and current K-8 school counselor. I have more than 20 years experience in childcare & education. I have dedicated my career to nurturing children's potential, and during my time off from school I offer families dependable childcare. My passion lies in Social Emotional Learning and making a difference in young lives. I hold a Masters degree and have experience caring for children aged newborn through adolescence. I am patient, creative, fun, reliable & approachable, and I genuinely enjoy children. I am certified in infant, child & adult CPR and First Aid. I have a portable background check with fingerprints through the State of WA. I am comfortable caring for any number of children and am quite skilled at American Sign Language. I have a fully insured car and am comfortable with pets. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my son & do crafty things, and I look forward to sharing my love of learning with your family.
