About Melody

My name is Melody, I'm a 22-year-old college graduate, and I would love to work with your family! I have 8 years of childcare experience. As a teenager I worked as a babysitter with many regular clients and was a camp counselor at multiple camps. In college I worked as an orientation welcome leader for Porter College for two years. I currently am the Creative Arts Director at the boys and girls club of downtown Santa Cruz, where I write and teach art/music curriculum and run in depth musical theater/rock band programs for youth ages 5-13. I am passionate about creating fun, safe, welcoming environments for kids, and have a compassionate and enthusiastic attitude. I know ALL of the camp songs, games, crafts, and activities! I have my own car and would be able to transport children to/from camp/school. I'm a musician and would love to use my guitar, piano, and singing skills to entertain and inspire your kids.
