About Mia

Hello! I'm Mia and have loved working with children. My experience includes working with second graders at the, teaching Environmental/ Outdoor Education in college, and many teen years volunteering in childcare (meal prep, story-time, arts and crafts) at the Women's Shelter in my hometown, hosting Vacation Bible School, teaching Sunday School. My primary experience is with ages 2 - 12, but I'm willing to consider infants with clear communication about your needs and expectations. I enjoy crafts, reading, playtime, stretching, snack prep, hiking and even emotional regulation techniques with little ones. I hold a bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies (yes, I actually spent 4 years on this- yikes!) and have worked as a legal assistant for insurance defense attorneys and most recently environmental law judges. I am looking to return to childcare after deciding law is just not for me. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to connecting!
