Strongest recommendation for Mica who worked in our home for 1.5 years helping our two 90-year-old moms (one mobile, one bedridden). Oustanding general behavior: o Always on time and doesn't ask for time off; o Trustworthy with everything (e.g., personal belongings, money, and use of credit cards); o No problem leaving town with her in charge; o Clean and neat; o A great cook - used to have a restaurant; o Respects family privacy. Terrific caring and patient management skills: o Gentle and adjusts to the moms' reactions in the moment; o Understands movements/situations that cause pain and avoids them; o Capable with incontinence issues and makes the patient feel ok about it; o Maintains good hygiene including bathing, bed changes, room care, and waste management; o Handles medicine; trustworthy with the narcotics prescribed; o Communicates with doctors / hospice and handles relationships / appointments; o Bonds with the patient and makes the home environment varied and interesting.
