I have 6 years work experience as a senior companion/caregiver, and I have a lifetime of personal experience with dementia as well as intellectual and/or developmental disabilites. I work for a local senior services agency, but realize not everyone can afford to find care through an agency, so I work for myself as well. I work with folks of all ages that are in need of companion services. I offer my services as a Companion; transportation, errands and shopping, light housework, light meal prep, company and conversation, and I am happy to accompany to appointments, errands, social engagements, and outings. I am 49 years old. I am polite, patient, humorous, and able to connect with others from various backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. I accept jobs of two or more hours, I travel within a 25 mile radius of downtown Durham, my hourly rate is $23/hr weekdays 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and $27/hr after 6 p.m. , as well as weekends. If using my car while on the job, I charge $. 65/mile.
