Hello! I am a NYS certified teacher with a Bachelor's in Child Study and a Master's in Literacy. I am certified Birth-Grade 6 General Education, Special Education and Birth-Grade 6 Literacy. I have been an educator for over 16 years. I am well versed in th Science of Reading. I'd describe my personality as empathetic, patient, compassionate. I like tutoring because it is an opportunity provide specialized and explicit instruction to students at their level. I'm looking for a job that supports the reading foundational skills of children, especially students entering or who are in Kindergarten. I like to read, go to the theater, see live music, and bake tasty treats in the kitchen. One thing you should know about me is that I am highly qualified and enthusiastic about education. My skills include reading, phonics, and decoding.
