I have been working with kids since I was young. I began by volunteering at a program for people with disabilities and since then I have held many jobs in the realm of child and adult care. I have babysat for many families, taught horseback riding lessons, worked for an individual with special needs through ISS, and I currently work for City Year New York in a middle school in East Harlem as a tutor/mentor and facilitating the after school program with a team. I have worked with kids of all ages and am comfortable working with any number of children. I am considering a career in education because of my love for working with children. I believe that kids are the future and that all they need to change the world is the empowerment to do so. I am CPR and first aid certified through the American Red Cross as well as cleared by Department of Education to work in a school.
