About Mikayla

Nurturing a child's growth and development is one of my greatest passions. I have been teaching for four years in various classrooms from preschool- 5th grade, including special education, and I am excited to bring my experience to a smaller (and different) setting while supporting families in a more one on one way. My background includes a bachelor of science in Teacher Education, and I have both CPR and First Aid Training certifications. As a caregiver, I am patient, calm, and love helping kids experience that "aha" moment. I really enjoy engaging children through outdoor activities, educational crafts, games, and assisting with homework as needed! I am very comfortable enforcing household rules, assisting with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and carpooling. I prioritize clear communication to make sure we are working together for the child's/childrens' best interest and growth. I look forward to becoming a reliable partner in your family's daily life!
