About Mildred

Hello! My name is Mildred and I have over 15 years tutoring experience. I work with students of all ages. I enjoy making learning a fun, interactive experience using creative practical application techniques and open dialogue which allows my students to fully participate in the learning process and to self-monitor their comprehension of the subject matter. I am a licensed special education teacher with a Master s degree in Education. I am also certified to teach reading and writing using the Wilson Reading System. The subjects that I have tutored include business math/algebra, reading/writing, phonological awareness; decoding and encoding the written word, the writing process including sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary building, paragraph and essay writing, test preparation, drivers education, social studies, science, and ESL. I am an active mother of three kids who believes a healthy lifestyle of proper diet & exercise lend to the learning process!
