About Miya

For the last 16 years I have been a nanny in SoCal. It is an honor to be given the opportunity to care for and to be a positive impact in the lives of young children. I'm patient, creative, and friendly. I am comfortable enforcing household rules set by the parents. I enjoy being outdoors, board games, puzzles, and sorts of creative educational activities. I have cared for children from age 0 to 11; spent 5 years for a family with 3 children under the age of 5, and cared for children with medical needs. I'm happy to help with any child related housekeeping. Previously I was a HS math and chemistry teacher for 10 yrs. I tend to bring much of my teaching background in my nanny positions. I also attended culinary school and worked at many high end restaurants in SF. I am First Aid and CPR Training certified and TrustLine certified. In my spare time you will find me hiking pr backpacking with my dog. I would love to connect to see if I would be a good fit for your family.
