I'm Monica, a former Teach for America teacher, Harvard graduate, and education researcher with 20+ years of childcare experience. I've taught Kindergarten and Special Education, worked in a home daycare, and have cared for children since I was 13. My background in child development and literacy helps me support children's learning while creating a calm, nurturing environment. After being laid off, I chose to return to what I love most - caring for children! Families describe me as thoughtful, grounded, and caring. I value calm routines, healthy meals, creativity, and meaningful connection. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, rock climbing, traveling, and learning languages (English, Spanish, plus some German, Catalan, and Portuguese).
