About Monica

I'd describe my personality as curious, adventurous and kind. I teach 1st Grade and motivate students to learn every day. A one-on-one setting is ideal for focused, targeted learning. I'm looking for a job that compliments my day job as a full time teacher. I want to use my teaching skills in a part time capacity with young learners. I started tutoring when I entered the public school system about 14 years ago. I also raised 3 children of my own, adding to my repertoire of teaching skills. In my spare time, I like to read, be in nature, connect with Friends, have a coffee, walk the beach, ride my bike, spend time with my children. Teaching is a passion of mine! I thoroughly enjoy my students and develop long term, connected relationships with them and their Families. I have my Masters in Elementary Education and am certified in teaching English to speakers of other languages. My skills include content knowledge, relationship building and dependability.
