Mya cared for our two boys (ages 3 and 5) and overall we were pleased with the experience. Her Montessori-inspired approach was apparent in the way she engaged them — she brought her own educational tools and did a nice job balancing active play with developmental activities. She was reliable and consistent, and made a real effort to encourage independence in practical ways, like having the boys help with food preparations and getting themselves dressed. We also appreciated that she naturally incorporated elements of her Hispanic background into her time with them, which was a broadening experience for our kids. Her boundaries and routines were well-established, and she clearly cares about helping children grow into confident, respectful kids. We would recommend Mya to other families.
