About Myra

I am curious, creative, playful, and thoughtful. I like working with kids because they are full of natural curiosity about the world, they are hilarious, and I love witnessing and supporting the process of discovery and growth. I'm looking for a job that allows me to earn supplement income as I develop my own small business. As a former science teacher, I would love opportunities to do fun projects, support with schoolwork, and be a caring presence. I started working with kids as a teenager through loads of babysitting. I started working as a science teacher and administrator over 20 years ago. I am an avid nature lover, outdoor adventurer, and crafter. I love to run, hike, knit, bake, read, and play with dogs. I am a thoughtful and warm person who loves the process of discovery and creating and making the world a little bit better. My skills include emotional intelligence, excellent communication, teaching/tutoring, compassion, patience, problem-solving, and organization.
