About Nadia

Hi! My name is Nadia, and I am a recent graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Learning and Behavior Specialist 1), a minor in Psychology, and endorsements in Bilingual Education and ESL. I will be entering my first year as a self-contained middle school special education teacher in Chicago. Through my student teaching experiences and my role as an Inclusive Recreation Supervisor, I have worked with children and teens from diverse backgrounds, including those with a wide range of disabilities, social-emotional needs, and trauma-related experiences. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have intermediate proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL). I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, inclusive, and fun environment where children feel valued, understood, and empowered to grow.
