About Nancy

Hello! I am a certified teacher with 20+ years of experience in elementary schools, working with struggling readers and academically gifted students. I have recently retired and still have an abundance of enthusiasm for teaching and working closely with children. Most of my career was spent as a K-3rd grade teacher. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have been teaching small groups of K-3rd grade students in their homes for 2-3 hours a day. It has proven to be very effective, as evidenced by reports from teachers, parents, and report card grades and comments. I use a project-based approach, with includes using content material when teaching reading and math skills. It is highly engaging for most students.
