About Nicholas

I have worked as a tutor in math for some 5th-8th grade students. In the summer of 2019 I worked as a mentor for high school juniors and seniors in my school's program, SUMMET. In the summer of 2020, I worked as a Teaching Fellow for the program Generation Teach. My teaching partner and I led and planned 4 different classes of the 5th-6th grade math level. We got accustomed to teaching in an online environment and were still able to connect very well with all the kids despite a virtual barrier. Most recently, I tutored for the Challenge program at Mines in which ~30 students took intro courses to calculus, chemistry, and engineering. Over the past few years I have also taken several teaching courses through Mines. I can tutor all subjects, but I'm best at science and math. I love working with kids and always work with them if they struggle understanding a particular topic. I also have experience working with students with IEPs.
