About Nikkijo

I'd describe my personality as thoughtful, professional, compassionate. I like caring for seniors because I helped three of my grandparents in the last few years of their lives. This way they were able to keep their quality of life, some independence and dignity. I'm looking for a job that I am able to help someone keep their dignity. Keep a smile on their face. Make their day brighter. I started caring for seniors when my grandparents fell ill. I have also taken care of an aunt and 2 uncles that have been on hospice. I have filled in for friends loved ones when they have had vacations or getaways. In my spare time, I spend time with family, read. One thing you should know about me is I am all about family and community. My skills include making them feel included in everyday activities that they love to do. Talking to and actively listening. My ability to divert their attention to something appropriate if they are wanting to do something that may not be best suited for them.
