About Norma

I'm an anthropologist and bilingual professional offering warm, thoughtful companionship for independent older women. My background is in women's rights and human rights. I enjoy meaningful conversations that go beneath the surface, reading and discussing books, sharing reflections, or learning from a woman's life experience. I can accompany to appointments, cultural events, walks, or simply a good conversation over coffee. This is non-medical companionship. I'm based in the Baltimore-DC area, and open to occasional travel for special outings or trips. I'm looking for a job that fits my values: respect, autonomy and meaningful connections, something flexible, where conversation and companionship are the center, no chores or medical tasks. I show up and I care about the person that is in front of me. I listen, accompany and honor other people's pace and wishes. I do not fix or direct. My skills include active listening , patience and building trust.
