We interviewed Paige, did background check, talked to references and even had her babysit our kids as a trial run We offered her the job and she accepted. I sent over the nanny contract and she was to send it back signed a few days later. She wrote me and said she needed to buy printer ink. I was flying out to Mexico for a week and felt relieved we found a nanny before we left, as I am starting a new job right after Labor Day. A week went by and she did not send the contract. I texted her, emailed her, no response. Once I was back in Chicago I called her. No response. At this point, I now have less than a few days to find a new nanny before I start work. If Paige was no longer interested, she should have told us. She wasted weeks of my time, and after accepting the job, wasted almost 2 weeks I could have been looking for someone else. Since she won't respond to me, I am assuming she is no longer interested and is too cowardly to just tell me that. Page - please be more professional and considerate in the future. You have now screwed over my family.
