About Paige

I have been teaching for 7 years. 3 years in 2nd grade and 4 years in 1st grade. I recently decided to take a step back after having a baby. I want to be a full time mom, but I miss teaching kids! I specialize in elementary level reading and math. I'm Orton-Gillinghan trained & certified which is the approach I use to teach students how to read. I believe in hands on, multi-sensory educational practices. I'm confident in my abilities to improve a student's reading, spelling, writing, & math skills. I'd describe my personality as energetic, nurturing, productive I like tutoring because I love being able to fine tune areas of need for a student. Every kiddo has strengths & weaknesses. Unfortunately, in the public school setting it's hard for each student to receive exactly what they need. I started tutoring 6 years ago. One thing you should know about me is I adore children & am passionate about teaching children in a fun & engaging way that they will remember & be excited about.
