I definitely have a passion for our seniors! I worked in an assisted living and memory care community for 4 1/2 years. I started as the hairdresser and transitioned to activities While working there I received a lot of training. We were also educated in Alzheimer's 1 and 2. I am currently a companion to a local senior and have been with her for over 4 years. I take her to all of her doctor and dentist appointments. We go out shopping and to lunch sometimes. I also help keep her apartment nice and tidy. Some days I am just a friend to her and someone to listen. I am looking to do the same type of work for another senior.
