I started caring for seniors when I pursued my CNA in my home state, Georgia. A foundational event for me pursuing respite/home care was being disabled by a car accident myself. Personally experiencing losing independence, abilities of myself, and having to navigate the stress, pressure, and pains of trying to regain a semblance of normalcy was world wrecking.
