About Peggyann

I am very experienced with working with seniors dealing with dementia. My own mother had early onset Alzheimer's and I cared for her for many years. It is a very difficult disease and as a caregiver it is vital that you do everything to allow the client to have an active life. It is also extremely important to maintain their dignity. I am willing to provide caring and respectful care. For the past nine years, I have worked with autistic teenagers in a public high school The greatest lesson I have learned from working with special needs individuals is to be vigilant about safety and to possess a great deal of patience. Fortunately, I also learned to "check my ego at the door". This enables a very positive relationship to develop. I am skilled at all aspects of care and monitoring medication. The school district has reduced all aides' hours to part time. I am looking for full time work. Thank you for your consideration.
