About Pilar

Hello! My name is Pilar and I'm a rising senior at UNC-Chapel Hill majoring in Hispanic Studies. I have experience working as a camp counselor at Camp Shelanu in Durham in 2023. I fostered an inclusive community for Jewish campers and those with special needs and supervised cohorts of 15-20 kids in varying age groups through daily activities such as pool time, mealtime, and sports. I also worked for the after-school program at Carolina Friends School in Durham (my high school). I am looking to help a family that lives on/near the UNC campus. I don't have a car but can use public transit. I pride myself in my housekeeping abilities. I enjoy doing laundry, dishes, sweeping, etc. I am qualified to tutor in Spanish, as I am majoring in the language and recently studied abroad in Spain.
