About Pilar

I have been teaching for 20+ years in elementary school. I am trained in Orton Gillingham. Orton Gillingham is an approach for teaching students with dyslexia. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, patient, and creative. I like tutoring because it gives me an opportunity to tailor my instruction to the individual needs of my students. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to maximize my teaching skills. In my spare time, I like to read, run, and spend time with family and friends. One thing you should know about me is that I love working with elementary school children. Building a strong rapport with my students is the basis for successful learning. My skills include reading and writing.
