About Pooja

Hi! About me: I started working in childcare in 2016 with infants-school age children at suburban and Philly daycares. Most of my time was with toddlers and I'm familiar with their milestones such as potty training. For the past 4 years, I've been working with preschool-middle school aged kids with Autism along with other diagnoses, and substitute taught for middle school (virtual) emotional support classes. I'm familiar in de-escalating behaviors from training in ABA therapy, which focuses on positive reinforcement/redirection/and prompting speech to encourage communication and staying on task. I worked in the home as a one-to-one and assisted with virtual school. My favorite parts about working with kids are their individualities and endless potential to learn new skills.
