About Rachael

I'd describe my personality as fun loving, nurturing, and empathetic! I like working with kids because I love the whimsy! I love working with children because it helps me learn and understand the minds of little ones. In college I was majoring in Social Work, with a a specialty in Child Protective Services. Protecting the peace of childhood is something I feel vertical strongly about. As someone who wants to be a momma, working in childcare is helping me prepare for my own future! I started working with kids when I was a teenager. I was 14 when I became an after-school / weekend nanny for 8-year-old special needs twins. I was with that family until I turned 17. I then became a live-in nanny for a family with a 10 and 13-year-old. I was with them until they were about 13 & 16. In addition to my more formal/ longstanding Nanny jobs, I have baby sat here and there for plenty of family friends! In my spare time, I like to read, write, and craft!
