About Rachel

I started babysitting at age 11, after a certified babysitting course, being trained in First Aid/CPR. I have done nannying and babysitting jobs most of my life, and I am currently nannying a newborn in a bilingual household. Previously, I served in a household manager role with 2 children for 2 years, with a wealth of prior roles for many years. I've spent quite a bit of time with children of varying levels of Autism spectrum disorders, as well as other special needs. I have volunteered in my free time, as a social worker, and built up programming for urban youth and children with a host of issues related to trauma, behaviors, etc., as well as having worked with inpatient delinquent youth for one year. I have also taught youth programming for most of my life, or volunteered with children in some form, since I was 14 years old, through church or other volunteer opportunities. I spent 3 years as a Child Protective Services Case Manager, helping abused and neglected children, as well.
