About Rachel

Hello! My name is Rachel, I've worked at a children's hospital for over a year and participated in a plethora of other child-centric activities such as babysitting and group child care. Currently, I have provided responsible care for groups of up to 9 children ages ranging from 2-11. Other experiences include providing care for up to two children, both under the age of 10 in a traditionally babysitting setting. I have also been able to use my ballet training to teach children ages 3 - 11 in classical ballet technique. Currently, I am in school for child & family development on a Child Life track, which focuses on making medical settings and experiences developmentally appropriate. While working in hospital and volunteering with St. Jude, I was afforded the opportunity to work with children with a variety of special needs such as down syndrome, feeding tubes, leukemia and more. Given the opportunity, it would be an honor to get to know, teach and learn from your children!
