About Rebecca

I focus on play-based learning and using the childs interests to direct our activites. I believe that children are capable of so much when given the opportunity and guidance. I also believe in a laid-back approach to childcare. This looks like allowing the child to explore the materials in their own way rather than directing what they should be experiencing. Learning happens in the little moments. During this past year I finished my ECE State Certificate and in my studies I focused on child development and behavioral guidance. I also have a bachelors in English Literature Education which has helped me solidify my understanding in how a person learns through scaffolding. I have 5 years experience as a nanny and as a part of a nanny share with multiple families. Before that I worked in a toddler classroom at a preschool.
