About Renee

Hi, I have worked for children throughout my working career I worked for the state of Maine for 15 years as a Therapeutic Foster parent and also was an Adoptive and Foster parent trainer for five years. These jobs required me to have specialized training in behaviors, child development, and sensory regulations. I enjoyed this job very much and loved the impact I had on so many children. I moved to Florida in 2001 and started my new career working with special needs children for the Citrus County School District. I worked with kids from ages 4 through 22. I often attended IEP's and had to occasionally fill in for teachers. I especially enjoyed teaching the kids through hand on activities such as sewing, cooking, gardening and other things. The school offered me a position as a special's classroom teacher. My Home Living Class offered all the children this opportunity. I enjoyed watching the kids grow and learn new skills. In 2022 I retiered and am looking for some part time childcare
