I was a single parent of a daughter since she was 4 months old. Her father chose to leave and play no role in her life, and I had no support from family. I had planned to stay home with her until she went to school full-time, so I had to come up with Plan B. I was able to achieve my goal by working as a nanny for four years, and, of course, brought my daughter with me. So, I would say I have plenty of experience with children. My daughter is a happy, good head on her shoulders, giving, productive member of society, now married with a baby of her own.
