About Riley

I'd describe my personality as caring, calm, and understanding. I like working with kids because they make every day exciting. A bonus is that working with children at young ages provided opportunities for teachable moments and you can see them grow into young adults. I'm looking for a job that provides a sense of routine. I enjoy working the same schedule. I also think working a consistent schedule is beneficial for the children because it allows for a sense of normalcy and comfort. I started working with kids when I was a sophomore in high school. I was apart if the Early Childhood Education Career Technical Program which gave me opportunities to work in Daycare facilities, Elementary schools, and Preschools. I'm currently a Site Supervisor for the Club Kid Childcare program at the YMCA. One thing you should know about me is I believe in promoting independence within children. My skills include effective communication, creative activities/lessons, and mediation.
