Experience: 10 yrs
I have over 11 years of experience caring for seniors and truly enjoy being able to provide support, companionship, and a helping hand with everyday needs. I am patient, dependable, compassionate, and believe every person deserves to be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. My experience includes medication preparation and reminders, organizing and ordering medications, communicating with doctors and pharmacies, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities. I am also comfortable helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment. One of the things I enjoy most about working with seniors is building meaningful relationships. Whether it's having a conversation, helping around the house, preparing a meal, or simply providing companionship, I want the person I am caring for to feel comfortable, respected, and supported. I understand the importance of being reliable, attentive, and trustworthy.
She did an amazing job caring for my grandmother, who has dementia and can be very difficult at times. My grandmother also does not speak English, so having someone who is bilingual was a huge help. She has a very energetic, playful, and charismatic personality, but she is also very professional and knows when to be patient and calm. She was able to connect with my grandmother in a way that made her feel comfortable, and my grandmother took to her almost immediately. She trusted her, which was something I hadn’t seen from my grandmother with a caregiver in a long time. She was attentive, patient, and genuinely cared about making my grandmother feel comfortable. To be honest, I think she would be a great caregiver for anyone who needs a little spice when they need it and calmness when the situation calls for it. She knows how to read the person she is caring for and adjust her approach, and that made a big difference with my grandmother. We were sad to see her leave California.
