Coming from a large family, I have always cared for other kids throughout my life; I loved it so much - I've made promoting positive youth development my life's passion. I have a deep love of learning about all subjects and hope to develop curiosity in children through fun and engaging activities. I enjoy playing, reading, science experiments, arts and crafts, and more! I have about 7 years of child care experience varying from being a NYS Mentor for elementary/middle school students, working as a classroom intern for an elementary school and a teacher's assistant. I have a B. S in Human Development and Psychology and an M. S in Clinical Psychology; thus, through both my experiences and academic record, I am skilled in childcare with knowledge of educational activities to stimulate positive development. Rose has babysat my two daughters, ages four and six, many times over the past six months. My daughters adore her, as do I. She's always very active with them -- coming up with engaging games, crafts, and activities. She's warm and kind and trustworthy. She has a strong interest in child psychology and is thoughtful in her approach in dealing with difficult situations (i.e. temper tantrums, sibling fights). I trust her judgement and feel confident that my children are safe and well-cared for when I leave them alone with her. We feel so lucky to have found her!
