About Roxane

After obtaining both Montessori AMI primary and elementary degrees in 1994 and 1997, respectively, I began my professional teaching career at Near North Montessori School in Chicago where I taught elementary aged children for six years. In 2003 I opened a Montessori-based home daycare in Oak Park. The daycare allowed me to care for as many as eight children, along with a full- time assistant. I enjoyed operating the home daycare and working with a variety of children over the years. I have been a resident of Oak Park, Illinois since my family moved here when I was 2 years old. I attended Whittier, Emerson and Oak Park and River Forest High School. I graduated from Loyola University of Chivago with BS in psychology. After college, I completed the Montessori primary training for three to 6-year-olds in London, England. A few years later I completed the Montessori elementary training for six to 12 years old in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I currently live in Oak Park with my two daughters.
