About Samantha

Hi, my name is Samantha. I am currently a senior at Towson University studying special education. I am a certified elementary reading teacher in the state of Maryland. I have worked with children in various educational capacities, including inclusion, self-contained, and resource settings. I specialize in tutoring children in grades K-6. I have experience working with multiple learning disabilities, including but not limited to Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Auditory processing disorder, language processing disorder, Nonverbal learning disabilities, and general learning needs. I create custom tutoring plans to support the specific curriculum challenges for each student I work with. I prioritize keeping each student thoroughly engaged for the entire session we spend together. I do not use a one size fits all approach because students face different learning challenges. Each student resonates differently with how they will best absorb the knowledge gained while working with me.
