About Sam

I'm Sam (they/them)! I'm in school working toward becoming a licensed therapist, and I sub teach and tutor along the way -- most recently teaching 8th grade Spanish. I've done a bit of everything with kids of all ages: babysitting, teaching art, and working as a reading specialist and paraprofessional, with lots of experience supporting neurodivergent kids and LGBTQIA+ youth. I bring genuine care to kids navigating identity and the ones who just need a snack after school. My mom was a kindergarten teacher my whole life, and I grew up babysitting family friends and cousins every weekend. I love listening to how kids see the world and helping them through whatever life throws at them. I'm proficient in Spanish, patient, and easygoing. Outside of school I'm an artist -- photography, collage, and writing are my creative outlets, and I share my home with two cats, Ham and Squirrel! Looking for all kinds of work, from occasional babysitting to more regular care.
