It's truly rewarding to help seniors maintain their independence and well-being. With three years of experience, I provide respite, live-in, and personal care, including light housekeeping, meal preparation and dementia care. I hold a high school degree and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. My approach is patient, compassionate, and detail-oriented. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle confusion with empathy. I understand the importance of learning about each person's preferences and history. It helps me provide care that respects who they are, their routine, culture, values and what makes them to be comfortable while building trust. It also allows me to support them in a way that maintains their dignity and independence. I provide verbal updates during visits and follow each family's preferred communication method. Supporting families by caring for their loved ones is work that I find fulfilling.
