About Sandra

I am 25 years old and I work full time as a hospitality aide at a rehabilitation facility. I am a student doing my prerequisites to get into nursing school. I am passionate about working in the healthcare system and hope to go into pediatric care. My first job as a babysitter was when I was a 15-year-old teenager and my Neighbors needed a babysitter for date nights. I took care of a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old. Watching over them was a joy. Skip to a few years and I got a job as a home health aide and my first patient was this beautiful baby girl. Working with her I learned so much about special patient care. I got the opportunity to work along side her physical therapist, her occupational therapist, and speech therapist. My favorite part about the whole experience was watching her grow and improve her health, becoming more independent each day. it was the greatest job I've had. I realized working with her that I wanted to continue my education and become a pediatric nurse.
