About Sara

Hello! My name is Sara and I am a 27-year-old graduate student at UB. I am studying social work and hope to work in children's mental health. Last year I interned at a high school and this year I am at a middle school. I do 1-1 counseling, group work, and teach about social/emotional skills in special ed. classes! Prior to this I received a masters degree in English literature and creative writing and a bachelors degree in studio arts. I spent 7 years tutoring English at ECC. I have a part time remote job working for a mindfulness podcast network, but am looking for additional hours and a job where I can be around people / animals. I am caring, creative, and love to support others. For fun I love to bake / cook, decorate, hang out with my cat, walk my family dog, or watch a good vintage movie. I also enjoy nature and going for walks in the creek. I very much value family and spending time with my cousins, my parents, etc. I also practice Spanish for fun and am trying to learn Thai.
