About Sarah

Hi! I'm a patient and supportive tutor with a strong background in psychology and sociology from the University of Illinois, and I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Social Work. I have years of experience working with children and teens, and I really enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities. My approach is flexible and student-centered. I try to meet each student where they're at, break things down in a way that makes sense to them, and keep sessions engaging without adding extra pressure. I'm especially comfortable helping with reading, writing, and study skills, but I'm happy to support a range of subjects depending on your child's needs. I focus on creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
