About Sarah

I am a pastor and a mother of 4 school age children. Before having children I worked as a personal care aid and companion for a woman in her 90s, helping her with all her personal care needs and driving her for errands and doctor appointments. Over the past year I have served regularly as a caregiver for my own 97-year-old grandmother. Spending nights and days with her in her home, doing light housekeeping, preparing meals, making sure she takes her medications, and helping with personal care, including dressing, bathroom needs, grooming, and wake up and bedtime routines. I have been blessed with many opportunities to visit with elderly members of my congregation and relate to them in the various stages of elderly life and end of life. I believe that life can be purposeful and fulfilling at every age and I am eager to support and nurture folks as they continue through their elder years.
