I own a design business and am babysitting on an occasional, part-time basis as a fulfilling way to supplement this work. Though I'm relatively new to care. com I have a range of childcare experience, and currently substitute teach (toddler to 8th grade) at a DC day school. I enjoy working with kids of varying ages and am a proud aunt to four and have loved helping my sisters out with care over the years. As a teenager I babysat, taught swim lessons, lifeguarded, coached swim team, and regularly babysat for a family in college. I respect parental values/preferences and enjoy keeping kids engaged and making time together fun through creative activities, reading, and play. Parents tell me I have a calming presence with kids.
