About Sarah

I have enjoyed teaching swim lessons both privately and in small groups of 3-4 for the past 7 years. I also babysat young children in the evenings. I recently was employed at a local church nursery in Boone, NC. In two of my three recent mission trips, I worked with impoverished children in the Dominican Republic and in Knoxville Tennessee. Being the oldest of my cousins, I have experience problem solving and using the art of distraction to create peace for the greater good. At Appalachian State University, I have volunteered this past semester to work with an advocate and mentoring program for students at our school with disabilities. Next year, I look forward to rooming and living with my new friends as a more involved mentor/role model. For the past three summers, I have played the role of lifeguard/head lifeguard at a local pool. I am looking for a new adventure working with fun loving children this summer.
