Sarah cared for my mom for a few years while my mom had Alzheimer’s. Sarah was so loving and kind and had the greatest warmth and sense of humor. She treated my mom like the dignified, accomplished woman she was and not like a diminished elderly person. Sarah got to know my mom well and responded to her particular likes and dislikes. I loved being with Sarah and loved watching her interact with my mom. Five years later, Sarah still asks about my boys and is as engaged as when I used to see her weekly. She is a special soul, and I will forever be grateful for her friendship with my mom in her final years. I felt guilty that I was working and raising our boys and couldn’t be with my mom all the time, but I knew she was so well loved and cared for by Sarah.
