I've worked in group homes, a school, day program, IHS, and personal care with the mentally challenged for 10 years. Ive worked with programs or just old school paper. (therapy, communication logs) I advocate heavily for my individuals and try my hardest everyday to teach them daily living skills. I work with individuals with all functioning levels, non-verbal and verbal, incontinent, ABA, Autistic, Down syndrome, Elderly, ect. I've learned so much through the yrs even saved a couple of lives. I take my job very seriously. I have my certificate in Human services. (upon request) I'm DDS Med certified, CPR & First Aide Cert, references PSA: Ignore my 1 bad review. Ive never met that women. She gave me a description of her needs, and I told her no thank you which clearly got her upset enough to write a bad review. I've only ever worked with two people from this site and 1 I'm still with and the other one I left respectfully but I am still on her payroll just in case I wanna go back.
