About Shahrzad

I'm a bilingual (English/Farsi) mom to a 7-year-old son with a passion for caring for children of all ages. I previously ran my own home daycare, where I cared for infants, toddlers in a safe, loving, and engaging environment. I have experience in infant and toddler development, certifications in children's play and play-based learning, and knowledge of baby and toddler nutrition. I also have experience teaching cooking, yoga, and breathing exercises to children ages 5-12. I enjoy reading, singing, dancing, spending time in nature, and creating fun, educational activities that help children learn through play. I'm happy to assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, homework, and daily routines. I've lived in Walnut Creek for 10 years, hold a bachelor's degree in English Literature, and believe in open communication while respecting each family's parenting style. My goal is to provide a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to grow.
