About Shalaya

Hi families! My name is Shalaya, and I have 5+ years of childcare experience, including nannying, daycare work, and working within school systems. I love creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where children feel comfortable being themselves while learning and growing. I've worked with children of different ages, personalities, and needs, which has helped me become patient, dependable, adaptable, and calm in all kinds of situations. My experience has also strengthened my skills in routines, homework help, communication, behavior support, and creating positive relationships with both children and parents. I'm comfortable with pets, have reliable transportation, and can assist with school pick-ups/drop-offs, meal prep, light housekeeping, and daily routines. Families would describe me as caring, attentive, organized, and easy to communicate with. I'm currently looking for a full-time position with a family I can support long term!
